Family Resources
Chorus classes are offered to fourth, fifth and sixth graders and meet once a week for 30 minutes.
We have two choruses at the Barkhamsted School: 4th grade chorus and a 5th/6th combined chorus.
4th Grade Chorus: Monday
5th/6th Grade Chorus: Wednesday
In chorus, students practice their music reading skills while singing fun and appropriately challenging music for their level. We work together as a chorus to sing as a group and we have a lot of fun
Members of the Barkhamsted School choruses have had the privilege to perform the National Anthem and God Bless America before Hartford Wolf Pack games at the XL Center in Hartford Connecticut. It's a fun experience where we get to go "behind the scenes" and onto the ice through the Zamboni Tunnel and sing in front of thousands of people!

Members of the Barkhamsted School choruses have also had the opportunity to perform at other local spots outside of school. From performing at a PTO event at Barnes & Noble, the opening day of Barkhamsted baseball and softball, or the Barkhamsted Senior Center, we always have fun!
Fifth and Sixth Grade members of the Barkhamsted School chorus have had the opportunity to perform with other students in the district at the All-District Festival. The annual event alternates between band and chorus each year so students have an opportunity to make music with the students that will become their classmates in middle school.
