Welcome to the Barkhamsted School Media Center

All grades up to sixth grade have scheduled library or book exchange times. Sixth grade is on a flex schedule and does their book exchange at their teachers' convenience. All students are free to return books prior to their scheduled time as long as the media specialist is present and their teacher has sent them. Older students who are familiar with the OPAC may look up the book they want in their classroom prior to coming to the media center.

In the computer lab, only kindergarten students are scheduled every week. All other grades sign up for lab time based on their curriculum needs each week. Most of the grade levels have already used the lab in the first two weeks of school. We have 27 student computers available with a variety of programs and applications for all grade levels.
