 My Favorite Tree

                                                     By Sara Tuller

I look outside and imagine a seed in the ground just waiting to sprout.  It has my grandpa’s love inside. This seed will soon grow, care for me, and will become a maple tree.  I look outside my window every morning to see it grow high.  My favorite tree is the maple tree outside my window.  It’s been there for years.  Inside of the tree, grasps my grandpa’s soul.  My grandpa died strong just like the maple tree with its strong branches.  Its layered bark near the roots will stay healthy and safe from the weeds.  This maple watches over me just like my grandfather had.  In the summer it waves goodbye as the wind gently brushed its branches.  Some nights I can’t sleep, so I quietly walk up to my window and look outside to the tree, waiting to see me.  It sits out there no matter what temperature-motionless.  The maple tree just sits there day after day standing tall with its three pointed leaves have red, orange, and yellow blending together.  This tree is the most important tree in my life.  We had planted this special tree in memory of my grandpa, and I will now be able to always remember him.
